Terms & Conditions

Governs applications, bookings, and participation in Aventerre Journeys

Effective Date: August 3, 2026  |  Entity: Aventerre LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, formed July 13, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting an application, accepting an invitation, or participating in a journey organized by Aventerre (a “Journey”), you (“Guest,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not apply for or participate in a Journey.

2. Description of Services

Aventerre organizes small, hosted, invitation-based group travel experiences for single adults. Aventerre facilitates introductions, logistics, and a shared setting for Guests to spend time together. Aventerre does not guarantee any romantic, platonic, or other specific interpersonal outcome between Guests.

3. Eligibility

4. Application & Selection Process

Submitting an application does not guarantee an invitation, a place on a Journey, or any response. Aventerre reserves sole discretion to accept, decline, waitlist, or revoke an invitation to any applicant, for any reason. A confirmed place is not secured until Aventerre issues a written invitation and the applicable deposit has been received.

5. No Guarantee of Outcomes

Aventerre creates the conditions for meaningful company among a thoughtfully considered group of Guests. Aventerre does not promise that any Guest will form a romantic connection, friendship, or any other relationship as a result of participating in a Journey.

6. Payment Terms

Pricing for each Journey is communicated directly to applicants who receive an invitation. Payment follows the schedule provided at the time of invitation, generally a deposit to secure your place followed by a final balance due in advance of the Journey. All payments are subject to Aventerre's Cancellation & Refund Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference.

7. Airfare & Independent Arrangements

Airfare to and from a Journey's start and end points is not included in the Journey price and is arranged by Guests independently. Aventerre does not sell, book, or arrange air travel, cruise passage, or sea transportation between destinations, and does not act as a travel agent for a Guest's own travel arrangements.

Where an itinerary includes a boat excursion, a ferry crossing, or a similar water-based activity within a destination, that element is arranged by Aventerre as an included activity and is provided by a local operator.

Aventerre is not liable for airline cancellation or change fees, for the cost of a non-refundable ticket, or for any visa fee, vaccination cost, or other expense a Guest incurs in preparing for a Journey. Guests are encouraged to consider refundable fares or to ensure their travel insurance covers these costs.

8. Changes to Itinerary & Price

Itineraries are planned in advance and may change. Aventerre may alter accommodations, activities, or the sequence of an itinerary where necessary for safety, availability, weather, or the wellbeing of the group, and will seek to preserve the character and quality of the Journey.

Prices are set using the costs and currency exchange rates prevailing at the time a Journey is offered. Where those costs change materially before the balance falls due, Aventerre may adjust the price, subject to both of the following limits: no adjustment will be made within 60 days of departure, and no adjustment will exceed 8% of the total Journey price.

Any adjustment will be notified in writing before the balance is due. A Guest who does not wish to accept an adjustment may cancel and receive a full refund of all amounts paid, including the deposit.

Aventerre is not obliged to cancel or alter a Journey solely because a Guest considers travel to the destination unwise. A Guest who chooses not to travel in those circumstances may cancel under the Cancellation & Refund Policy.

9. Cancellations & Refunds

All cancellations, rescheduling requests, and refunds are governed by Aventerre's Cancellation & Refund Policy. In the event of any conflict between that policy and these Terms, the Cancellation & Refund Policy governs with respect to cancellations and refunds.

10. Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability

Participation in a Journey involves inherent risks, including risks associated with travel, transportation, accommodations, group activities, food and alcohol consumption, and interaction with other Guests and third parties whom Aventerre does not control. By participating, you voluntarily assume all such risks.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you release Aventerre, its officers, employees, contractors, hosts, and agents from liability for injury, illness, loss, or damage arising from your participation in a Journey, except to the extent such liability arises from Aventerre's gross negligence or willful misconduct.

11. Third-Party Activities

Hotels, lodges, and other venues used during a Journey may offer activities to their guests independently of Aventerre — for example cycling, riding, hiking, water sports, or excursions booked directly. Aventerre does not select, control, or supervise these activities and is not responsible for injury, illness, loss, delay, or expense arising from them. The same applies to anything a Guest arranges independently during free time.

12. Travel Advisories & Destination Risk

Guests are responsible for informing themselves about the destinations on a Journey. Current advisories for United States travellers are published at travel.state.gov, and health information at cdc.gov/travel. Guests travelling on other passports should consult the equivalent authority in their own country.

13. Required Travel Insurance

As a condition of participation, Guests are required to carry travel insurance for the duration of their Journey, including coverage for trip cancellation/interruption and, for international Journeys, travel health/medical coverage. Aventerre will provide guidance on minimum coverage and proof-of-insurance requirements upon invitation. Aventerre is not responsible for costs arising from a Guest's failure to obtain adequate coverage.

Insurance should be purchased immediately after your place is confirmed. Most policies require purchase within a short window of your first payment — commonly 7 to 21 days — in order to cover pre-existing medical conditions or to offer cancel-for-any-reason provisions. Aventerre does not recommend or endorse any particular insurer and receives no commission on any policy.

14. Code of Conduct

Guests agree to treat other Guests, hosts, venue staff, and any other individuals encountered during a Journey with respect and consideration. Aventerre reserves the right to remove any Guest from a Journey without refund for conduct that is harassing, threatening, unsafe, discriminatory, illegal, or otherwise materially inconsistent with the spirit of the experience.

15. Health, Safety & Accessibility Disclosures

Guests are responsible for disclosing, in advance, any dietary restrictions, medical conditions, accessibility needs, or other considerations relevant to their safe and comfortable participation. Aventerre will make reasonable efforts to accommodate disclosed needs but cannot guarantee suitability for every requirement.

16. Fitness to Participate

Aventerre reserves the right to decline, to accept, or to remove any person as a Guest on a Journey where, in Aventerre's reasonable judgment, that person is not fit to travel or their condition may present a danger to themselves or to others.

Journeys require, at minimum, the ability to walk one mile continuously at an average pace over uneven surfaces, to climb stairs that may lack handrails, to stand during visits and talks, and to get in and out of vehicles and boats without assistance. Some Journeys require more; the activity level published for each Journey sets out what is expected.

A Guest who requires extraordinary or personal assistance must travel with a companion who is willing and able to provide it. Where a Guest prefers not to travel with a companion, Aventerre may instead ask the Guest to arrange and fund a personal assistant or private transport for the duration of the Journey. The Host's responsibility is to the group as a whole and cannot extend to personal care for an individual Guest.

By paying a deposit, you certify that you have no physical, medical, or other limitation that would create a hazard for yourself or other Guests, and that you have disclosed any condition that may require assistance or medical attention.

17. Activity Levels

Every Journey is published with an activity level. Guests are responsible for selecting a Journey appropriate to their fitness and mobility. If you are uncertain whether a Journey suits you, contact Aventerre before accepting an invitation.

18. Photography & Likeness

Aventerre or its representatives may photograph, film, or make audio recordings during a Journey, and may use those recordings in marketing, advertising, publicity, and internal training materials, without compensation to you. Guests who do not wish to appear may notify Aventerre in writing in advance of a Journey, and Aventerre will make reasonable efforts to accommodate that request.

19. Guest Privacy & Confidentiality

Guests agree not to publicly share personal information, photographs, or other identifying details of other Guests obtained during a Journey without that Guest's consent.

20. Intellectual Property

The Aventerre name, logo, website, and related materials are the property of Aventerre and may not be used without prior written consent.

21. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Aventerre's total aggregate liability arising out of a Journey shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Guest for that Journey.

22. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Aventerre harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or your misconduct during a Journey.

23. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of a Journey, are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

Any such dispute shall be brought exclusively in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia or the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section limits any right you may have under the law of your own state or country that cannot be waived by agreement.

24. Changes to These Terms

Aventerre may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes affecting a confirmed Guest's Journey will be communicated directly prior to that Journey.

25. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

26. Entire Agreement & Order of Precedence

These Terms, together with the Client Agreement signed for a particular Journey, the Cancellation & Refund Policy, and the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Aventerre with respect to your application and your participation in a Journey, and supersede any prior discussion, correspondence, or representation.

Where those documents conflict, the following order applies:
